Where to find my house blueprint?

i am looking for the blueprints to my house mainly for the plumbing and i live in the st. Louis county area. do i contact the St .louis county government? i cant contact the developer because they are no longer in business. so who do i contact?

Your best bet is to contact your City or County agency that issues building permits. They may have this information available from the original building permit for your house. It's possible that they have purged these records though. Your next best bet would be to try to locate the architect who designed the house for the developer.
No name: Blueprints are SIGIFICANTLY more than isometric drawings. There are actually SEVERAL prints for each room. Electrical wiring, ductwork, and plumbing are each on a separtate set. Report Abuse
You are not going to find blueprints for your house, especially if it is more than a year old. Nobody has the room to store every set of prints to every building in the county. The location of the plumbing pipes won't be on there anyway. They only draw what they call isometrics, it just tells what size pipes to use. not where they will be in the walls, the plumber doing the job determines the best route for the job site conditions.

If there are any thing on the prints about the plumbing it will look like this;

That's an interesting question. In college I lived in a house that had been divided into 3 apartments and I often wondered about seeing the original floor plans b/c I couldn't understand how it used to be one house!
