Which is a good major out of these ?

here are a couple of my ideas.
1) Special Education Teacher
2) Accountant
3) Architect
4) Interior Designer

1) I worked with special needs kids, last summer. i think to be a teacher would be an okay pay, but to be a special education teacher would be a higher pay. i know i would have to have a lot of patience but i think i could handle it. not to mention i would get hollidays and summers off
2) I am very good at math, and i think being an accountant would be a good job for me. i think the pay is good. but i was wondering exactly what accountants do.
3) now architect. for a time period i used to draw blue prints of my dream houses. i loved making little details of where the bedrooms would be and where a fireplace could go. but i dont know what the pay would be.
4) interior designer..i was thinking of double majoring this with architecture. i would love to make a "dream house" for somebody. as in draw the blueprint. and hire construction workers and contractors to build the main frame. then put somr expertise in to say what kind of furniture and what color walls, basically interior design....

so any ideas, as to which be be realistic, especially with the economy...
thanks

As an accountant, I'll explain what we do :) As simple as I can.

Most of our works are being done in front of computer. We review, calculate, and counting what we've got and spent (money in and money out). A crazy knowledge of using Microsoft Excel is a must, believe me, my first day of internship my supervisor want me to print a report by using Excel. My first day was blank sheet because my excel skill was poor, the next day I bought "Excel for Dummies" book and work with that.

My daily routine now is putting data into my Excel Spreadsheet and Peachtree program. Then we use those data and write a report in words for the meeting in weekend. I am not doing this alone though, we have a team and we splitting our works. Why are we doing this? It is to find a better way to get and spend the money. Basically we're the money doctor, we checked our company's health. However you need to do some tests before you can be an accountant, one of the famous ones is the CPA (certified public accountant) test. By the way, yes we get a very good paycheck every month :)

To be honest if you think this is a boring job: It almost is! The fun thing is you have happy hour friends after work (your team-mate!) and this job is pretty rewarding.

During college/university, this major is pretty fun. We have our accounting club and we do a lot of awesome stuffs there. We have formal and casual meeting, we have some speech from big dudes from big company such as Boeing, Starbucks, Microsoft, etc., we have games, accounting boys/girls are pretty cute (it's not a major with full of geeks! trust me), and we do trips as well; to the beach, hiking, camp, and many more. It was really fun!
No offense, but you sound a little "flip-floppy." You've already worked with special needs kids so go with what you know you'll like. Many states pay your way if you go into special education and you make a lot of money doing it. Furthermore, it's extremely rewarding.
Special education is an excellent option. As a teacher, I have to say it's nice not having the same financial worries my friends are having during this economic downturn. I've never met an unemployed special ed teacher here in the city, so you should be able to find work, and as long as teachers have unions, the pay will be fair, and the job will have stability.
1. Good job, lots of demand, and it's good you have patience

2. You don't need to be good at math, you need to LIKE math. Most of the calculations are pretty simple and are done with a calculator or computer program anyways...

3. That's not all architecture is about, its the total design of a building, not just the floor plan. You need to have a passion for it if you are going to major in it, an undying unrelenting passion. I had friends in college that would spend 7-10 hours per night for weeks on a single project (Floor plan, exterior/interior drawings, physical 3-D model, digital 3-D model).

4. I don't know anything about interior design for a major...

If I were you I'd go with 1 or 2 unless you have the passion to be an architect.
