You can make one out of $20 of lumber. It doesn’t have to be steel.

we always teach that upon contact they have their ‘eyes to the sky’ so they don’t dip their heads – and enforce that they do it.

im a highschool left guard player for my jv team and i love watching these. my team doesnt really train their lineman as much as they need to, so i come to this channel to get the edge on my team mates and my opponents.

Ok…so you talk too much. Get to the drill. A bed sheet is a good idea but if you are a good coach, you will teach your kids how to stay low by doing start and stances, and making sure they are keeping their heads UP ( not bowed) and their butts down. keeping their hands off their knees when in a stance is also a great way to teach a kid great technique.. if their hands are on their knees when they take off then they are more apt to push off and stand up… chutes are great sometimes..

  17. LBFootballCoach says:

Neck bowed??? how about “neck prone”…

  18. KILLINGSEASONS says:

I made a o-line chute out pvc pipe and it works great…and doesn’t hurt the kids or scratch their helmets….
