$7 12-Gauge Zip Gun Homemade Shotgun

While this zip gun was made in our shop, it certainly could have been homemade. It uses off-the-shelf tubing and a welded on endcap which holds the modified screw firing pin. The price tag is for materials only. Please note that in the US this is considered an NFA firearm and would be illegal to make without the proper paperwork. Any questions about what that means can be answered on the BATFE's website (www.atf.gov). When we made this video we had just come back from The Wing House ( with the requisite intake of wings and beer) so it has a bit of silliness in it. And no, the shooter didn't partake....he doesn't drink!! Enjoy.

I think it was Death Wish III, where Kersey’s friend used one of these in the battle against the gang.

  3. AceM4rksm4n says:

haha a guy on a tv show called burn notice made a similar firearm once to fire a 9mm i believe.

  4. markserbu says:

$5 to transfer, yes. Anything made on a Form 1 is $200, though.

  5. MrZebtoog says:

AOW stamps are only $5 not $200

  6. corneliusm73 says:

Wow cool and simple you guys are awsome

  7. therongperson says:

That’s crazy, but cool. Remember, when plumbing supplies are outlawed, Only outlaws will have plumbing supplies.

keep on pressing 9 haha but cool vid

  9. markserbu says:

Not true, unfortunately. You’d still end up with a “gadget gun” AKA, AOW, because of the lack of “normal” grip and trigger. Again, the best bet is to actually fill out your BATF Form 1 and register it. Though I wouldn’t waste the $200 on such a crappy gun!

  10. markserbu says:

Anyone want to field this one for me??

  11. LD32132 says:

tell that to the BATFE,Im sure they would love to hear your theory..

Better bet , simply pay the 500 and get your Class 2 or 3 and you can play with things like this too :)

also, its not illegal if you make it long enough. if its 18 inch barrel and 26 overall when locked and in battery, its completely legal. although i personnaly prefer some kind of spring hammer and trigger to my guns XP

  13. TheRebelEye says:

That’s true. I didn’t hear what you said you used for a firing pin exactly. And I can’t find the end piece anywhere at stores. The barrel is easy but everything I don’t understand.

  14. markserbu says:

That depends. There’s that “intent” word…

  15. TheRebelEye says:

It’s not illegal to have the parts just laying around.

Question: What do you call 2 pieces of metal that can fire a 12-gauge shell?
    Answer: A GUN

  18. markserbu says:

    Who’s this “your hand” guy????

  19. ursofukinstupid says:

  20. psychoguy1017 says:

yea but its not really a gun just 2 pieces of metal that happen to be able to fire a 12 gauge shell if used correctly =P

  21. Anhuarblogs says:

  22. mikeyr260 says:

This is the first zip gun ive seen shot. Props

  23. GeminateSource says:

This is actually a style of homemade weapon used by the Filipinos during WWII

  24. markserbu says:

The receiver was sanded to help blend the weld with which the end cap was attached. The barrel is basically as it came. The whole gun has since been bead-blasted and parkerized and is an even black all over.
