This will allow for a large backyard that you can turn into a garden or an orchard. You can also add a swimming pool or erect swings or cubby houses for children. If there is need for covered space then you can extend the covered area under the provisions of local building law. This may reduce the open space but will save you from spending money on future extensions.

Cost

Equally important is the cost factor. A detailed house plan can give indicators about the expected cost of construction. It can also help you in reworking the design so as to cut down costs.

Successful house plans are those that incorporate future needs into present planning and offer a flexible construction approach without increasing the costs. Be sure to think ahead and make contingency plans for things like the arrival of a new baby, the need for a self-contained flat, a garage and more.
