Ya, I got one. It was 1.5 TB with 3 year data recovery service for $255 shipped. If you order the same drive from there site with shipping and all it comes out to about $370. I feel like I stole it!

  4. tyn1963 says:

This comes with a 3 yr guarantee against data loss, and free recovery for that period of time. Woot was selling a 1.5 TB drive for 200?.00 something………sold out fast. This is amazing, and the protection everyone needs!

  5. robotavailable says:

I think that the lesson to learn from ioSafe is that they will HELP YOU RECOVER YOUR DATA. I can’t find a single other hard drive maker that will offer me $1000 if my drive fails.

Tells me that they make a great product and believe in helping their customers

    very impressive looks virtually indestructable

  7. KioneKione says:

Do they realize destroyed hard drive data recovery costs thousands of dollars? It’s not like the files just got deleted.

    marshalauth,

We would… but we were actually using the 16×9 feature on our Sony PD-170 and then upconverting to 720p. It took a long time to render and ate up a lot of space. I think we’ll wait until we move over to a HD shop. :(

I showed my buddy this and he was so impressed he is becoming a vendor.

  10. marshalauth says:

Wow HD. Looks good. You should start doing Gadget Episodes in HD.

Thanks bunnydrumming… we had a blast at CES… but now we’re all exhausted! I haven’t even been responding to comments because it’s been a drill of “Wake up at 7:00am, run the show till 6:00pm, go to the press functions will 10:00pm, edit video till 2:00am” — Fun, but I’m glad it only happens once a year!

    ilordvader,

Sorry it’s taken so long to get back to you. I’ve been pretty busy with CES.

You don’t need G4 to watch… just stay tuned to YouTube! Plenty of us are putting out content from the best and worst of CES!
