Inside Microsoft’s “Future Home”

It talks, gives you fashion advice and reminds you when to take your medication. Microsoft's new home of the future shows how the company plans to incorporate technology into more areas of life over the next decade. Janet Galore, senior program manager of the Strategic Prototyping Group, gave us a look around some of the prototype features. Courtesy: BBC.co.uk

    @evoledge You’ll be standing/sitting there for like 10 minutes waiting for the computer to fix the problem. It’s not likely you’ll get one, though, since all the software will be pre-installed.

  2. TheZythe says:

    @bluedude34 Don’t worry it won’t do that in person. :) It’s just that some forms of display don’t look good on camera. Why do you think the actors in movies and sitcoms always have macs? because their display is more compatible with a camera so it makes you feel (just a little) more like you’re actually there.

  3. TheZythe says:

    @alain026 It’ll totally probably do that. ;)

  4. TheZythe says:

    @metalmaniac248 It won’t. You clearly don’t know anything about how a PC gets a black screen of death(Not blue anymore, it was too ugly.)

  5. azawarai1 says:

  6. ACoreyStory says:

  8. sodasirap says:

    @DarkShadowvidz You do know ANYTHING electronics have wires in it, be it optical fibres or the conventional ones, don’t you? Come on, THIS IS NOT DORAEMON’S 22ND CENTURY! Most of the time, it’s a lot easier to mess up their electromagnetive field from the OUTSIDE rather than having to physically play around with the wires. Dude, get real, please. DO some research before talking shit. Everyone knows about this. So please don’t be obvious about your stupidity

  9. DarkShadowvidz says:

    @TheRedRussian10 yeah let’s hope so.

  10. DarkShadowvidz says:

    @sodasirap High-end electronic cars can be stolen because they are cars, you can hotwire them, but you can’t hack the house unless you can wire yourself to it. WHICH I HIGHLY DOUBT. SO STFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are the idioT!
    SHUT UP DUMBASS

  18. peelyjr92 says:

    so what happens when we don’t have a fucking MILLION dollars to spend on each room of our house!?

  19. sodasirap says:

    @DarkShadowvidz Wow, you must have missed the Computer 101 subject, or you just fucking retarded. All computers can be hacked with or without the keyboard. in case you don’t know, there’s these terms like “EXTERNAL KEYBOARD”, “NETWORK” (not internet network, you dumbass) and “PROGRAMMING” (every COMPUTERIZED STUFF IS PROGRAMMED WITH CODES). As long as it is COMPUTERIZED, it CAN be hacked. Why do you think people can steal the high-end electronic car even tho the car has no internet? Idiot!

  20. sodasirap says:

    This house sounds like nosy people! I don’t think I like it when a computer tries to tell me if I’m wrong in fashion
