One of the best endings in film history. Even if it stopped at Slim Pickens riding the bomb it would still be one of the best. But than it cuts to this distraught scene of how they are going to nuclear blasts. Than all of the sudden “mein fuhrer! I can walk!”. Than the world blows up to the song “we’ll meet again”. I applaud Stanley Kubrick.
guy almost bursted out laughing in 2:55
such a dark comedy – yet very relevant … congrats Mein Fuhrer, i mean Stanley Kubrick !!!
Love Peter Bull at about 2:53 doing all he can to keep from cracking up at Sellers.
@farelane460 If I am remembering correctly, Sellers was also supposed to play Major Kong, but he hurt his knee climbing out of the plane on the set and Kubrick recast the role by bringing in Slim Pickens.
VON BRAUN WAS AN SS STURMBANFUHRER
@Jemmer1000 I had just never thought about it before. Relax. -__-
@AStopMotionChannel um, yeah… that’s kind of the whole… oh never mind.
Hey, Peter, just go for it, you know what I mean…
some of our deeper mine shafts
@zombiefan011 You forgot the Ü in “Führer”
Kubrik shows in essence that all military thinking leads to nazism.
1:44. CompuuuuuDah.
I think this scene is even funnier if you put a sexual context to everything Dr. Strangelove is doing.
The guy at the back is trying not to laugh haha
@RaoulDuKe313 did you have the radiation calculator?
@gss2131 good call.
@farelane460 Group Captain Lionel Mandrake
Peter Sellars playing both the President and Dr. Strangelove and maybe another part. Been awhile.
MEIN FUHRER I CAN WALK!!!!
I was Dr. Strangelove for Halloween. Wheelchair and all.
That awkward moment when you call the president mein fuhrer
The “mind shaft gap”, LOL. A great movie with a stellar cast.
Doctor? . . You mentioned the ratio of 10 women to each man. Now wouldn’t that necessitate the abandonment of the so-called “monogamous” sexual relationship? . . I mean as far as “men” were concerned? . . Regretably, yes . . but is you know a sacrifice required for the future of the Human Race . . .
@kkariman yes as well as other nuclear war movies from both the 50s and 60s and more recent stuff in fact in Fallout New Vegas on the outside of the BoS bunker someone wrote LOVE THE BOMB
