Gopi is in an emotional turmoil because of Rashi's broken marriage and Urmila's strike. Aham orders her to stop worrying and go to sleep. Rashi and Urmila suffer mosquito bites while lying in the street and waiting for the Modi family to give in and change their decision. They sneak back to their house and plan to come back early in the morning to pretend like they had never left. Kokila asks Gopi to get milk from the milkman early the next morning. Urmila rants to the milkman about her night long stay in the street. Kokila is displeased when Gopi cries for Rashi instead of doing her chores. Urmila bruises Rashi and orders her to cry convincingly. She calls up the police station to lodge a complaint against the Modi family.
