Chander's phone with Aarti Nityanand tells Abhishek that the money has been sent by his future father-in-law as shagun. He is taken aback when Abhishek asks if his marriage was a political move as well. Nityanand is offended when Abhishek enquires about his married life. Aarti had kept Chander's phone with her, on purpose. She forgets to return it to him and does not pick up when Alka calls. Chander reaches at Alka's house and tells her what happened. When she refuses to believe him, he tries to pacify her anger.
