Delving Minecraft Tutorial: Piston Elevator

New Video: Improved Piston Elevator Tutorial - www.youtube.com This is a tutorial that covers the basics of a piston elevator. We cover the clock needed and the pattern to follow to build an elevator for items, yourself, mobs, etc. Please let me know what you think! Docm77 has a fully functional piston elevator in his LP. Check it out here: www.youtube.com NOTE: Something I should have shown in this video is that adding repeaters right before the piston (so that power is being provided to the piston by the repeater) will drastically reduce power interference issues. This elevator is designed for item transportation. Although it can be adapted to transport players and mobs, there are better designs for that purpose in my opinion. However, they do not work to move items. Here are 2 of my favorites: The Royal Walrus's zipper - www.youtube.com Etho's simple piston elevator - www.youtube.com ... and my bird ruins the middle of another video with his chirps...

I’ve put up a new tutorial that solves the problems the clock can cause, also easier to build as you can just follow a repeating pattern for wiring. Check the description for the link ;)

@toshibarobbie @toshibarobbie If you want to use this to transport your character, you wouldn’t use a clock, you’d just use a pressure plate or something to start the chain. However, there are a couple piston elevators that are designed a lot better for player transit in my opinion. I will link 2 of them in the description (note: they do not work for items):
