In Flames – The Jester Race

© 1996 Nuclear Blast (In Flames) Rush faster on the one-way lane the answers so silent Rusty gods in their machine-mind armours grind our souls in the millstone of time the "deathbed harvest" is a dead man's banquet of mold ridden bread and black, poisoned wine Here we go...our step so silent Here we go...our blooded trace the Jester Race Calling our to the gathered masses their answers so silent Here we go... Embracing the tools of the neo-wolf age that speak of silence and silence alone Offering the tokens, the reliced idols to the heirs of the newly raped ground inferior even to the transparent winds lesser in the motion and sound Here we go... There is no trace of me in their altered blueprints of life Gaia impaled on their horns and lances the fumes from her body give chase as the strong of blind men savour the scent, dream-dead from Prozac and hate -epilogue- "Sunwind strokes the ElectroHeart, ignition roars through the corridors, stream launching the binary vessels" Vanities in extreme formations ride into tomorrow's rigid great face The Machinery outlives the futile scripts of our dying jester race

Yeah, I used to listen to them. Though their sound didn’t appeal to me much. I still have some stuff in my hdd. :o

  2. KiDoGreg says:

Have you ever listened to Hammerfall?

  3. KiDoGreg says:

Actually, most residents of Göteborg believe they have their own metal genre. Most there refer to it as Göteborg Metal.

  4. bizarredude101 says:

Ah, but I didn’t say that listening to Suicide Silence makes you a poser. I said that only knowing Suicide Silence and Bring Me the Horizon and Whitechapel, then saying that you love death metal makes you a poser. Obviously you know good music if you’re on this video.

  5. WowYaJerk says:

Or maybe they just don’t invest all their time scouting for more bands. Chill the fuck out. I love Suicide Silence and In Flames. That’s about it from the list of bands you mentioned. Doesn’t mean I’m a poser in any way. If I’m curious I’ll go research bands. If I’m not, I’ll just enjoy the ones that I like a lot.

  6. AngelicaDeMortis says:

For some reason, every time I listen In Flames’ old albums, it makes me want to listen to Dark Tranquillity.

  7. PsychoticButcher says:

Wow you can really hear the Dark Tranquility vocals in his voice. I’ve always found it funny how the original vocalist of DT and the original vocalist of IF switched bands lol.

  8. TobyNorman777 says:

Don’t pretend like you always knew about the pioneers…

They just haven’t gotten around to discovering them yet

  9. bizarredude101 says:

I know, just listen to Annotations of an Autopsy’s Welcome to Sludge City EP, it’s fucking shit! My current obsession is Amon Amarth and brutal death metal, but I love listening to every kind of metal

  10. Johnssju says:

I hate that shit like Whitechapel, but I still consider that progress in comparison to some of the shit I’ve seen. I went to a school with a lot of emos and kids that thought Avenge Sevenfold and Marilyn Manson was the pinnacle of metal.

I’m mostly into Melodic Death Metal nowadays, but still listen to other types of metal now and then.

  11. bizarredude101 says:

I know, this one girl told me she was really into death metal. I was kind of excited at first, and I asked what her favorite band was. She told me she was really into Whitechapel, the trendiest fucking band there is right now. I told her I was into Cryptopsy, and when she saw all the bands I listen to, she was like, “How do you know all these bands? I’ve liked metal for years and don’t know any of them!” I said it’s because you listen to trendy metal….

  12. Johnssju says:

Only bands you can go up to any kid in your school and they will probably know is something like Skillrex. Don’t expect too many high school aged kids to know about In Flames, At the Gates, or Dark Tranquility. Those bands have been around for a long time (Before they were born) and they probably only follow the newest shit.

IN FLAMES WE TRUST from Teheran!

  14. TrappedUnderIce1 says:

Hey guys I have an idea…let’s argue about things that ultimately don’t matter. Dick waving contests aren’t productive. Enjoy the music. End transmission.

  15. Shorty10101010101010 says:

See the good thing about this is it is not complicated. I am not the hugest fan of this genre. Really just because there are some of these type of songs that seem like there is to much put in to them. I mean some sound like there are about 50 solos going on at once. And because of that you can barely hear the singer which sucks. But this is an AWESOME song. IN FLAMES WE TRUST.

  16. axXis191 says:

yeah, go say that to any grindcore band out there

  17. throwedlol says:

No one cares man. You’re in highschool, you’re as much as a faggot as they are. What’s it to you if they only know Cannibal Corpse? They are a DM band, so how don’t they know Death Metal? Just cuz you’re a faggot teenager with the internet doesn’t make you any better than anyone else.

  18. ultragamer14 says:

    >implying that posers listen to melodeath.

    Well aren’t you just retarded.

  19. Jamessons20 says:

I hate dislikes, when there is a realy brilliant, awesome song… I love it

  20. videogamerselite270 says:

They aren’t, not because I don’t like them (whitechapel actually isn’t bad, albeit mediocre), but because deathcore is by definition half hardcore music and half death metal. They are hybrids. Oh and Suicide Silence isn’t even in Metal Archives, btw.

  21. pacomonkey007 says:

Whether you like it or not, they are metal. They are not your preferred genre but they are still metal.

  22. videogamerselite270 says:

Yeah, except the bands he mentioned, Suicide Silence and whitechapel, aren’t even metal, so that basically shits on your whole argument. :P

  23. SuperRAWRify says:

    im so embarassed for you

  24. SuperRAWRify says:

cant stand all the metalcore fags that dub themselves ‘hardcore’ for listening to shit like bvb, asking alexandria and all those other generic shit bands/

  25. sdman96 says:

I’ve never seen so many faggots commenting on one metal video
